WITH a variety of special performances; masses of trade stands and a whole host of tents, not forgetting the many competitors and their exhibits, there was something for everyone at this year's Royal Cornwall Show, writes Amelia Chubb.
The three day event, which kicked off last Thursday (June 9), was branded a huge success and the unwelcome showers failed to dampen spirits.
In the main ring, ridden horses, show jumping and heavy horses kicked off each day's proceedings, which were then followed by spectacular displays including The Boldog Lings (freestyle motocross display team); camel polo from Joseph's Amazing Camels and the RAF 'Falcons' Parachute Display team.
Not forgetting the grand parade of cattle, sheep and goats, mass parade of hounds and inter hunt relay competition.
Secretary Chris Riddle declared the show attendance figures as 'outstanding' as the show received its second highest total.
