For the third year in a row Devonport Royal Dockyard Employee Trust (DRDET, formerly Babcock Marine Sports and Social club) have supported Bude Pilot Gig Club (BPGC) with a generous ­donation of £500. BPGC Chairman Ann Furse said: "This is great, we are in need of new seats, a tarpaulin to protect the gig and some trolleys to help us launch the gig from the beach, this will ­really help." Chris Robinson (DRDET Trustee) added: "We are pleased to continue to support a club that encourages so many people to enjoy and participate in gig rowing."
