RECENTLY staff from Waitrose in Holsworthy visited Holsworthy Primary CofE School to teach the Reception classes (Hazel and Rowan) and nursery class (Cherry) about healthy eating.
They brought a vast amount of fruit with them — enough for the children to touch and try. The children also used the fruit for the ‘fruit salad’ parent workshop where parents worked with their children to create a colourful fruit salad and then eat it.
The school’s Reception teacher Kerry Pantoll said: “A massive thank you to Waitrose for their kind fruit donation.”
