ST STEPHENS Academy recently received a visit from Cornwall Air Ambulance, sparking a motivation to help others by holding a Superhero Day.

When visited by the charity, the whole school had an assembly, presented by the staff at the charity, which showed the fantastic work they do, and how they help people in a variety of ways.

After the visit, the children decided that they also wanted to help other people. It was decided that the school would hold a Superhero Day, where children would come into school dressed in superhero costumes.

The children donated some money towards helping this wonderful charity. Altogether, they managed to raise £94.

Schoolteacher, Miss Goodman, said: “It was fantastic to see so many children supporting one of our local charities. The assembly really had a positive impact on the children, and encouraged them to think about how they can help too.”
