THERE was an excellent attendance for a soup and sweet day held at Tintagel Methodist Church Hall last Thursday. People arrived throughout the day and there were stalls with various gifts.

A spokesperson for the event said: "A tremendous range of home-made delicious soups, including tomato, potato and leek and vegetable, were on offer. The range of sweets were also all home-made and it was difficult for those who attended, to choose which they wanted. Among the large choice was trifle, banonffee pie, rhubarb and custard and many more.
