CLAWTON Pre-school and Toddler Group held a spring fete and open day at Clawton Primary School on Saturday, May 18 and raised around £400 for new equipment.

The event gave people the chance to explore the setting and meet the staff and committee. With sunny weather all day, visitors were able to enjoy the games including whack-a-rat, hoopla, coconut shy and welly wanging.

Local businesses and craft people set up stalls in the sports hall and the committee put on a barbecue, cakes, face painting as well as indoor games.
