LAUNCESTON Library visited 16 schools in July to tell children about the Summer Reading Challenge that took place during the summer holidays.

Close to 500 children signed up to read six library books of their choice to complete the challenge.

There were rewards to collect along the way, like stickers, a wrist band, door hanger and a medal at the end.

The library has been visiting schools with certificates to be handed out during assemblies as a reward for all the children who completed the challenge.

Andi Snook of Launceston Library said: “Well done everyone, and a special thank you to parents, grandparents and friends who have brought these children in over the holidays.”
