BUDE Town Band has expressed its thanks to its loyal supporters and followers during the summer season.

A band spokesperson said: “We have been very lucky this summer, we haven’t needed to cancel any of our events due to bad weather.”

The band has seen some new additions this summer with the ‘New Generation Band’ all now joining the senior band, with the new generation now within the senior band there are some spaces available for new learners.

The band has a big celebration coming in 2020 when it will be celebrating 125 years in existence.

To celebrate this the band will be holding special events during the year, more information on these events will be given at the band’s next fundraising event, which is an evening with the band and Johnny Cowling on Friday, October 4 — more details of this concert can be found on the Post’s events page.

The spokesperson said: “Please keep supporting Bude Town Band, with out all your support we wouldn’t have been able to make it to 125 years.”

They added: “You will continue to see the band playing at different events throughout this year, please keep checking for adverts in the paper and on social media.”
