TINTAGEL Orpheus Male Voice Choir held the fourth in its series of summer concerts on Thursday, August 15.
These summer concerts not only entertain locals and visitors, but raise funds for the choir and for charity. At the concert, the choir presented cheques of £500 each to three charities: CLIC Sargent, Macmillan Nursing and the Merlin MS Centre.
Brian Jennings, who is also chairman of Launceston Male Voice Choir, accepted the cheque on behalf of CLIC Sargent. He gave a moving account of the help his family had received from the CLIC nurses whilst his grandson, aged 12 years, has been undergoing treatment since being diagnosed with Leukaemia at the end of last year.
