A HUGELY successful quiz night was held at Camelford and District Bowling Club’s premises at Lanteglos Road on Saturday, March 17, with £850 going to to Heartswell’s Camelford branch.

Thirty-three tables, comprising four persons per table, filled the hall to capacity for an evening enjoyed by all those present.

The event was organised by Geoff and Val Risdon, the short mat supremos, ably assisted by Mike Bray on the evening and various club members who prepared the hall in readiness.

Thanks were also expressed to Bob Coleshill, who bravely manned the popular bar. A pasty supper was also a great success. Since its inception in 2011, these quiz evenings have raised an incredible sum of £4,470 for various charities.

Geoff and Val wished to thank all those who have helped in any way to make the evening such a resounding success.
