THERE was a Farm Watch event at the Kivells Holsworthy Cattle Market, run by PCSO Raquel Rowe, for the launch of SelectaDNA forensic substance.

Devon and Cornwall Community Watch Association (DACCWA) officer Phil Wise, ‘Police Volunteers’ (PV) Mike Jackson, Christine Summerfield, Alan Haddock, Mike Herrero, Christian Whitley and Jenny Hawksworth were present during the day.

The event hoped to provide farmers and people from the local area with information about how best to protect their property and to introduce them to the new SelectaDNA property marking equipment.

PCSO Raquel Rowe said: “We’ve spoken to a lot of people, and crime prevention advice was given. There were people from Dorset and other counties. Several people were very pleased to purchase the product and can’t believe how easy it is to apply and mark their property. The event was so successful that we stayed until 2pm, instead of midday. Due to the success, the event will be running quarterly to provide crime prevention advice”
