A?SUCCESSFUL Delabole car treasure hunt took place recently.

A total of 25 cars took part to enjoy a sunny Sunday afternoon following clues that started from Slaughterbridge, through Tregoodwill, across Bodmin Moor to Altarnun and on to finish at Pipers Pool. The Cyril Cup challenge was to count all the council signposts to villages starting with ‘TRE’; 21 in total.

Thanks have been extended to Chris Keat, Helen Ferguson and their team for another enjoyable and successful event. Thanks also to everyone who donated raffle prizes and to Adrian, Tracey and the team at The Poldark Inn for their hospitality and refreshments.

Tony Hopkins presented the cup to Tara and Danielle from the Dagley family who were the overall winners.

In joint second place were The Goodman and The Coleman families.

The Cyril Langdon Cup was won by the Goodman family.

The event was organised to raise funds for the village carnival, which will take place on July 16. There will be a number of events being held in the run up to carnival day.
