THE Friends of Lanteglos Church held a hugely successful big breakfast event on Saturday, August 24, raising funds towards the £20,000 needed to make some much-needed repairs to part of the church’s ancient roof.

When the tower roof at Lanteglos by Camelford Church was recently found to be unsafe and leaking badly, £20,000 was desperately needed to repair it. To help towards that significant number, a band of volunteers got together to organise a big breakfast in Camelford Hall on Saturday, August 24.

The kitchen produced amazing breakfasts, cooked to perfection. The breakfasts came in two sizes — small, which turned out to be large, and big, which turned out to be massive! Waitress service was efficient, performed by Caitlin Bosely and Sophie Edwards.

The fundraising was helped by Graham and Gloria Taylor, who downsized their home and left everything that would not fit in to be sold off in aid of Lanteglos Church.

A spokesperson from the event said: “A big thank you to everyone who helped and gave their support, including Heards, Camelford and the Boscastle Farm Shop.”
