THE weather forecast for the annual Blisland Church summer fete and dog show was not promising but the organisers lived in hope and set up for the dog show the day before.

On the Saturday morning there was unfortunately no choice but to move the stalls up to the village hall from the green.

Churchwarden Charles Edward Collins said: "It was a great pity as the village green is such a special place in the centre of the village and it is always so much more enjoyable, for visitors and stallholders alike, to have everything together."
