IN partnership with Truscott's of Launceston, the Friends of St Joseph's School are delighted to announce the winner of their WIN A CAR raffle draw. Mrs Gill Hocking, a parent at the school, looked stunned as her name was announced and she was handed the keys to a brand new Peugeot 107! The members of the Friends committee worked tirelessly throughout the summer selling tickets at various shows, in the square at Launceston and at Homeleigh Garden Centre. The draw took place at mid-day on Saturday at the end of the Friend's Christmas Fayre, a highly successful event, which saw the total amount raised by the Friends over the course of the year, reach nearly £15,000. The draw was adjudicated by Mr Mike Warne of Peters Langsford Davies and Mr Andrew Marshall of Coodes, both Launceston solicitors, who kindly gave their time to check and verify that every ticket sold had been placed in the draw. St Joseph's School in Launceston has recently received an Outstanding Ofsted Report for the Foundation Stage and also a superb report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate for the whole school, which are available in full on the school website http://www.stjosephscornwall.co.uk">www.stjosephscornwall.co.uk. Mrs Mandy Williams, the chairman of the Friends Committee and Mr Graeme Garrett, headmaster would like to thank everyone involved in both the Friends of St Joseph's Committee and all those who assisted with the Christmas Fayre and the car draw for all their hard work and dedication.
