FIVE former pupils of Sir James Smith's Community School, Camelford — four of whom attended the school when it was first opened in 1962 — returned to the classroom recently.
The school has been marking the 50th anniversary of its opening, and as a result Margaret Mules (nee Burnard); Colin Chegwyn, Gillian Sanders (nee Mayson), Kay Colwell (nee Morris); Graham Adams and Derek Trewin were invited into the classroom to talk to current pupils about life behind a school desk in 1962.
For the full report, and a round up of the area news and sport, please see this week's edition of the 'Post'.
