A GROUP of students have raised more than £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Early Years and Foundation Learning students at Duchy College joined forces with the Student Union to organise three coffee mornings on campus as part of their upskill social action group.

Team lead for Early Years at Duchy College Stoke Climsland, Laetitia Mayne, said it was ‘fantastic’ to see the students come together.

“They had such a determined attitude towards raising money for a worthwhile cause,” she said.

“It is vital for them to recognise causes in the community that affect us all.”

Level 3 Early Years student, Georgia Facey, said she was ‘really proud’ to be part of the fundraising.

“It was great to raise money for such a worthwhile cause,” she added.

Fellow Level 3 Early Years student, Lucy Connell, said: “It was great to have so much support from other students in college.”
