NORMAL lessons were suspended for the day at St Joseph's School in Launceston last week, as students aged seven to 12-years-old had the opportunity to have a go at forensic science in police investigations, discover the science behind ice cream, check blood pressures and more as part of Science at Work Day. The purpose of the day was to give the students the chance to see and experience the wide range of work, jobs and careers that use science in a fun and interactive way. Cornwall Learning Education Business Partnership organised the day by inviting different organisations to inspire the students about the different ways science is used in the work place as well as finding out about the latest cutting edge developments in science. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.

PUPILS at St Joseph’s School took part in a number of activities as part of Science at Work Day.
