OVER 30 young wind and percussion players gave an inspiring performance at Lanteglos Church, Camelford following an afternoon workshop at the town's Sir James Smith's School recently.

The young brass players from Triggshire Wind Orchestra, Buzzing Brass and Camelford Youth Band had been working alongside the players from the Live Brass Ensemble, a professional quintet lead by Kate Moore, the principle trumpet of the BBC Concert orchestra.

They had focused on breathing techniques, rhythm and ensemble playing, the end result of which was enjoyed by everyone when they performed 'Jesus Christ Superstar' as part of the evening concert.

The concert had begun with Triggshire Wind Orchestra, lead by Janet Elston playing a selection of pieces ranging from well known classical tunes to film music.
