REPRESENTATIVES from Camelford Primary Schools Student Council put their shovelling skills to work when they were invited by the town council to help plant trees.
The children got their hands dirty as they joined Mayor of Camelford Mr Rob Rotchell in an enjoyable morning at Jubilee Orchard.
Everyone involved was full energy and enthusiasm and worked incredibly hard as the trees were planted.
Assistant Headteacher at Camelford Primary School Mrs Capehorn said: "We are very proud to be working with the town council to help plant the trees. Through tree planting we are educating children about the benefits of trees, their importance in the environment at the same time giving children a vested interest in their local community."
