A CHARITY show at Launceston Town Hall in August, put on by Oksigen Theatre joined by Launceston Amateur Dramatics Society, has raised over £1,000 to help a student.

The show 'Any Dream Will Do' was staged to raise funds for former student Brandon Lewis Gale, who had won a place at London Drama school ArtsEd.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is the principal of this school and thousands of students audition to win a place. The fees to attend are very high so Brandon has been raising money to afford his education.

The show was a roaring success. Launceston Town Mayor, Cllr David Gordon, was "extremely impressed and marvelled" at the talent showcased on the stage from both the children, adults and, of course, Brandon.
