TREGADILLET Community Primary School has been praised as a 'good' school by Ofsted inspectors.
Staff, pupils, parents and governors at the school are celebrating after it was also praised as an 'improving school' where pupils feel safe and well cared for.
Over the past three years the school has seen significant changes in leadership and governance, with the report praising the dedication and commitment of the leadership team which, it says, is working 'together to successfully improve pupil achievement'.
The report states: "Leaders, staff and governors are committed to providing high levels of achievement and personal development for all pupils. Teamwork to put this commitment into practice is strong and led well by the headteacher."
Inspectors commented on the overall quality of teaching and learning, with the report highlighting the progress being made by pupils in the early years: "Teaching is good across the school. Pupils make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics. Their achievement in writing is particularly strong."
