MORE than 40 fantastic entries made for a spectacular grand parade on the last day of Tintagel Carnival week. Starting from Bossiney and wending its way through the village the entries and marching bands entertained a packed crowd on Saturday. The overall carnival winning entry was The Cornish Wreckers, the best comedy award was won by Tinhenge and Lou Handley dressed as The Dandy-Lion won the best dressed collector trophy. Phil Aston, vice-chairman of Tintagel Carnival, said: "What a fantastic carnival parade — a big thank-you to all the entries for their fantastic contributions, the carnival committee and volunteers for all their hard work, and the village crowd for digging deep into their pockets and helping raise money for carnival funds."
