A STRATTON resident has revealed his outrage at the time taken by Cornwall Council to reply to a parking petition — a reply which he says 'identifies nothing will be done'.

Neil Perring was one of 300 people to sign a petition nearly two years ago, sent on to Cornwall Council, complaining ardently about the restrictive parking residents of Stratton have to contend with.

The petition covered the issue across the town — from the Kings Arms to Pollards, and out past St Andrew's Church towards Diddies Lane. Weekends — particularly Sundays, when the Methodist Church on Maiden Street and St Andrew's Church are holding services — and evenings see particular strain put on vehicle owning residents.

It was even suggested by some that the double yellow lines outside of Hair Evolution and Lords Court Stores on Market and Church Streets are downsized to singles, allowing people to park, for example, from 6pm until 7am, but Neil said, that wasn't even considered by the authority.
