EACH year Bude-Stratton Town Council sets aside a small amount of funds in order to make grants to local groups and organisations, and in order to maximise the number of grants available, and to make the application process as simple as possible, the largest grant awarded is currently £100 per organisation.
However, at the end of the current financial year there were some residual funds in the grants budget.
The town council decided to use this money to support the League of Friends of Stratton Hospital in its quest to raise a million pounds for the refurbishment works at Stratton Hospital — a cause which will be of benefit to all sections of the community in the Bude, Stratton and Poughill area and beyond.
