THE discount clothing and homeware retailer Store Twenty One has been wound up in the High Court and the Official Receiver has been appointed as liquidator, the Insolvency Service said on Monday.
There has been rumour circulating on social media as to why the Launceston branch of the store at the retail park at Hurdon has been closed.
The Post contacted Store Twenty One’s head office on Monday morning, but was told staff ‘did not know anything’ and ‘would not know anything’ until later on in the day.
The phone line to the head office was not open on Tuesday.
