RECENTLY I was intrigued to see on the TV news that in response to the 'Angel of the North' that the county of Kent is to put up a statue of a horse.

Not 'Invicta' the prancing horse, the logo/symbol of that county (hopefully to be christened the 'Angel of the South') but a 150ft (50mtrs) high English Thoroughbred!

So why not Cornwall? We could have the Angel of the West, a 100ft high plus (35mtrs plus) statue of a Cornish pasty, after all it now enjoys international recognition as a product unique to Cornwall.

Just a whimsical thought perhaps.
