IT WAS standing room only at Bridgerule Chapel on Wednesday, October 12, when Mrs Caroline Boother, Acting-Head of Primary Phase for Holsworthy Federation of Schools, welcomed parents, carers, family and friends to the school’s harvest celebration.
The pupils told an illustrated story of the ‘Poor Lady and the Apples’, with four pupils telling the story from the bible of the feeding of the 5,000.
Other pupils read some of their own harvest related poems before Rev Neal Street drew the service to its close with a prayer.
The generous donations of dried and tinned foods are to be given to the Holsworthy Foodbank.
The whole service was led by the PEGS (Pupil Ethos Group), with Mrs Sheila Cholwill playing the organ for the Harvest Hymn favourite We Plough the Fields and Scatter.
