Launceston Stamp Club held its annual fair at Central Methodist Church on Saturday. There were nine stamp and postcard dealers buying and selling. A record attendance of more than 80 collectors from other clubs in Devon and Cornwall and the general public came to add to their collections or sell their unwanted stamps or postcards. In addition to the stamps they enjoyed the socialising and the refreshments.
The club was re-established in the 1970s and currently has over 30 members who meet monthly for a varied and interesting programme at the Royal British Legion Rooms at Edymead House on the second Thursday of each month. New members are always welcome. Thanks to the many businesses and organisations who displayed posters for the event and thus contributed to its success.
