SHOULD a price not be negotiated for land allowing the extension of Delabole Cemetery in the near future, then other options will have to be explored — that is the view of St Teath Parish Council Clerk, Sue Theobald.

Struggles to agree a fee with a landowner have led to an urgent situation arising, and the possibility of acquiring land in a neighbouring parish has not been dismissed.

Sue said that although this is an avenue she wouldn't like to go down, they need to agree a "sensible" price or a new location would have to be looked at.
