MUSIC lovers are expected to converge on Alton's Public Gardens on Saturday for the town's very own take on Last Night of the Proms.

Now in its ninth year, the classical concert will take prom fans on a "musical European tour" beginning in London and stopping in France, Austria, Hungary, Italy and Spain before returning to the British Isles for a rousing finale.
