STAFF at Specsavers Launceston have thanked customers for helping them with their recent appeal for new teddy bears.

The store joined other businesses around Cornwall as part of the Pirate FM Ready Teddy Go appeal to collect new teddy bears. The bears have now been donated to Treliske Hospital for fundraising activities to raise even more money for the new maternity and neonatal unit.

Specsavers Launceston store director, Julia Peggs, said: “Thank you so much to everyone that contributed to the appeal. We had a wonderful response, which will no doubt go a long way to helping the team at Treliske kit out the new facility, offering the best start to life for every baby born in Cornwall.”
