LAUNCESTON'S Specsavers store raised £550 for Comic Relief.
Abigail Wills, niece of Specsavers Launceston store director Ian Wills, works for a charity supported by Comic Relief known as the Mpingo Conservation and Development Initiative (MCDI).
She said: "We're very grateful for all the work Comic Relief does for our charity. MCDI have helped over 25,000 rural Tanzanians conserve more than 180,000 hectares of forest in 10 years, and Comic Relief funding has helped us do this.
"This is just one of many projects where donations go to support, so we're encouraging everyone to buy some Specsavers comedy glasses to help us continue to make a difference."
