KIVELLS Property and Professional Services are delighted to be supporting Cancer Research UK as their charity partner for 2018.
Preparations are already underway for a range of fundraising activities across the year from staff, and the communities, of Liskeard, Callington, Launceston, Holsworthy and Bude.
Kivells area manager Sam Turner, after running the London Marathon in 2017 for charity, has signed up to Ride London, a 100-mile charity bike ride.
Other events include ‘Lock the Sweets Away’ in the Callington branch, which plays on the Cancer Research UK ‘Sugar Free February’ campaign, allowing the public to guess how many sweets have been locked in a jar. There will also be a ‘Bake-Off Month’ across Kivells’ branches.
Director at Kivells, Mark Bromell, said: “Kivells are delighted to be working with Cancer Research UK as our 2018 charity of the year partner. With cancer touching the lives of so many of our clients and colleagues and their families, we look forward to raising funds to support this charity that is undertaking and achieving so much great work.”
Kivells is supporting Cancer Research UK as a whole and is fundraising through the Bude and Stratton local branch.
Cancer Research UK’s vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
In the 1970s, less than a quarter of people with cancer survived. But over the last 40 years, survival has doubled —today half will survive.
The ambition is to accelerate progress and see three-quarters of people surviving the disease within the next 20 years with a new strategy to give them the foundations needed to tackle the challenges ahead.
