THREE shopworkers claim they were sacked after complaining about non-payment of wage.
Roena Pallister, Lesley Scott and Pam Flecknell took their protest onto Cinderford High Street after the alleged confrontation at the Real Deal store.
There are two linked businesses and while the larger part, in the former Beale store, has closed down the smaller unit is still operating.
Mrs Pallister, 61, of Yorkley, was among those sacked and who worked at both the smaller store, which is still open, and the larger store.
She said: "We were protesting for our wages when our manager called us in one-by-one to tell us we were sacked. They gave us no explanation but paid us what we were owed.
"The Real Deal hasn't been able to pay us on time for months. We decided to protest after hearing the owners had been to America which took the biscuit as they always said they 'couldn't afford' to pay us.
"I've worked on and off at the Real Deal for two and a half years".
Roena says she has sought legal advice from the Citizens' Advice Bureau.
She said: "As far as I'm concerned we've been sacked because we wanted our wages."
Midcounties Co-op, who owns the store, weren't able comment.
The Real Deal failed to comment before the Review went to press.
