CORNWALL Council have a number of temporary prohibition of traffic or motor vehicle orders due to come into effect in the local area.

The council will prohibit motor vehicle access from Congdons Lane in Bude, between the junction for the road from Coast Road to White Lodge and the junction for Lundy Drive.

This short closure from March 22 to 23 will be in effect from 7.30am to 5pm each day and is to allow drainage repairs and patching works to be undertaken.

The road from Cherry Cross to Wheatley Road in Holsworthy between the junction for the road from Week Green to Highmoor will be closed to lay underground cabling from March 8 to 9 from 9.30am to 3pm.

In Launceston, the entire length of St Thomas Road and a stretch of Western Road between St Thomas Road and the junction for Westgate Street will be closed to vehicles to carry out kerbing and patching works.

This will come into effect on March 8 and is expected to last until March 10 between 7pm and 6am daily.

An alternative route will be signed on site, however, for further information visit one.network/?tm=120141725

The entire length of Dockacre Road will also be closed later in the month from 7pm on March 26 until 7am the following day on March 27.

The council is satisfied that the order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to lay duct in the carriageway.

This order will apply to emergency services, cyclists, buses, school buses, traffic associated with the works required within the highway and pedestrian and vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
