ST TEATH rally driver Matt Cotton will return to top flight competition next year by contesting the 2012 British Rally Championship (BRC) after a two-year lay off.

Matt, who works as a warranty manager for West End Motors in Bodmin, last competed in 2009 but has regretted the decision to stop ever since.

"I had to stop rallying after 2009 as it was getting too expensive, which was disheartening after I had such great results," said Matt. "But I just couldn't keep away any longer, and I have bought a new car to see if I can get back to winning ways again!"

Matt has purchased a new Fiesta ST rally car to contest the series which starts on February 24 with the Sunseeker Rally in Bournemouth. It will pose a unique challenge to the rapid Cornish driver.
