THE recent St Teath Arts Festival has welcomed local artists to the area, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work to the community.

The event, held once every two years, sees St Teath church transformed into an art gallery, turning it into a budding place for artists to exhibit their work to the local community.

This year marks the third arts festival St Teath has held, and the event has raised £1,900 for the church funds, something that local lady Liz Miskin is extremely proud of.

Liz said: “It went extremely well. We had a lot of people come along, and it was a huge success. The art was by local artists, and we had around 30 artists come along, with 100 plus exhibits.”

Following the festival, concerts were held in the evening to add to the community atmosphere, which also proved to be a great success.
