The weather was cold but dry for the annual Christmas Lights Switch On in St Teath.

People from across the village came out in force to see all their hard work come to life.

The village was buzzing for the third annual trail, Santa’s grotto and a Christmas market in the church hall.

The cafe was open serving hot chocolates and Christmas baps and many took advantage of the excellent hog roast and crepes in the square.

For pudding, the local school were in charge of cakes and refreshments in the church hall.

Members of the St Teath Choir brought some festive cheer to the evening with their magical renditions of everyone’s favourite Christmas songs.

The prestigious honour of turning on the lights was this year given to the village’s oldest resident Pearl Pluess OBE along with Marion Sinclair. They were delighted to take up this role and did a fabulous job.

A lot of effort went in to making this such a spectacular event and all were pleased to see their village lit up in time for Christmas.
