Once again St Swithin’s was transformed into a magical Christmas market on November 22. People came to buy Christmas gifts of jewellery, paintings, warm knitwear, skilful wood turning bowls, vases, and delightful toys. There were homemade cards, calendars and decorations.
The new kitchen produced homemade light lunches, cream teas, wonderful cakes and scones, all produced by members of the congregation and friends of St Swithin’s. The bric a brac stall did a roaring trade and sold the raffle tickets.
Margaret Bond, who helped on the day said: “Our heartfelt and sincere thanks are due to the events committee chaired by Jan Hunt for all their hard work.”
