NORTH Cornwall’s Conservative MP Scott Mann said he was ‘delighted’ to open the new St Minver Post Office, alongside local Conservative councillor Carol Mould.

The new Post Office is now in the Perceval Institute building, which Mr Mann said was ‘made possible by the hard work and contributions of local residents’.

The Perceval Institute, a local charity, last year stepped forward to open a new branch after it was announced the site of the previous community Post Office was to be sold by the landlord.

The charity launched the ‘Save our Community Post Office’ appeal, which Mr Mann endorsed.

Mr Mann said: “Local Post Office services are hugely important for our small rural communities and it’s fantastic that the people of St Minver have secured the future of their own branch.”
