EXHIBITION: St Breward based artist and copper engraver Brian Hanscomb, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) since 1997, held a successful open house and studio recently, exhibiting a large range of limited edition copperplate engravings and a number of pastel and gold leaf images. Brian is seen above (left) with a visitor in his studio studying his engraved print 'Airfight', inspired by the Falklands War of 1982. The visitor, commercial airline pilot Richard Livesey (right) from St Erth, West Cornwall was a Royal Navy helicopter pilot based in the South Atlantic just after the war. In spite of the weather, many people came and the weekend was a success. Brian's work can be viewed on his website at http://www.brianhanscomb.co.uk">www.brianhanscomb.co.uk.
