BUDE has a new, blue, cheesy friend to add to the community, and he has been welcomed with open arms by the town.
BudeMouse is always willing to take photos and ‘selfies’ with tourists and locals, and he especially enjoys it when people share their photos on his Facebook page.
Aiming to get out to walk around the town every day, BudeMouse has been able to meet many people, and has even started getting invitations to attend events.
Speaking exclusively to the Post, BudeMouse said: “Some things I have been invited to have been community based, some are charity events and, amazingly, some are even private parties. Sadly, I can’t attend all of them, but I try to get to as many as I can.”
On BudeMouse’s calendar is the Bude Community Fire Station’s Open Day, which he is very much looking forward to, as well as helping the popular local festival Leopallooza with their upcoming competition to win tickets to the highly anticipated event, which he says is ‘a huge honour’ to be a part of.
Speaking of his role, BudeMouse added: “The first time I did any of this, I was a bit scared that no one would like it, but people really seem to, which melted my cheesy little heart.
“People have been amazing; I had no idea when I started my Facebook page how the local community would react, but I have to say that I am genuinely overwhelmed by the positive response. Bude has got the most amazing community spirit.”
