THE Ruby Country Partnership Ltd, a not for profit organisation, has recently celebrated its first year as a self-funded group and is continuing to go from strength to strength, writes Amelia Chubb.

The Ruby Country Initiative first began around six years ago and was grant funded by numerous bodies, but to ensure its sustainability it was re-organised a year ago and is now a self-funded business which operates solely for the benefit of the community.

Board member Martin Prentice explained that the future of the Ruby Country Partnership was once uncertain as it offered its services free of charge, but since the re-organisation it is now sustainable and can continue to help the community.
