A LAUNCESTON woman has taken on the challenge of a sponsored slim in a bid to raise money for the amenities account at Cedar Grange Nursing Home, Launceston, where she works.
Alison Venning started the slim on May 1, with an aim of losing one stone of weight in two calendar months.
Alison chose a slim to help the residents but found it would benefit herself health wise, too.
The amenities account is used to purchase audio and sensory equipment for the residents as well as many other things to enhance their lives.
