On Sunday, July 12 a group of Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh apprentices went on a six-mile walk across Dartmoor, writes Alicia Law.
The weather wasn't as good as it could have been — it was throwing it down with rain, but everyone that took part steamed on through the thick mist.
Two groups went on different routes — Mrs Malpass with the girls and Mr Fitzsimmons and Miss Brett with the boys.
Both groups did outstandingly well with their map reading skills and they all achieved their goal to get back safe and sound, with no problems.
They had lunch on the moor and got to enjoy a lovely day out with their friends.
