A CAMELFORD Town Councillor described as 'committed' and hands on' by her colleagues has stepped down from her position.
The town council learned of Jenny Finch's resignation at its meeting on Tuesday, January 20. Mrs Finch has been a councillor on and off for eleven years, serving as mayor in both 2005/6 and 2006/7.
In a letter to the council, Mrs Finch cited health concerns as her reason for resigning, but said she remained supportive of the authority's work — indicating her involvement in initiatives such as flowers and events may continue.
"It is with a heavy heart I feel I must resign my place. I will continue to support and help as much as possible, and I would like to wish the council all success with future projects."
