BRADWORTHY entertained a much enhanced Morwenstow on a difficult, surprisingly bumpy pitch. A close encounter with both sides committed to attack, it was Brad who kept their impressive league form going with a hard fought 1-0 win.
Brad played well from the start, and although Gary Clarke and Luke Potter both performed well in midfield it was the defence who shone, in particular the experienced Danny Bryant leading the way.
Mike Sampson nearly scored early on with a well struck shot. After one of his frequent sorties Andy Cotton's persistence paid off when his interception found Carlo Chandler, who finished brilliantly to score moments before half time.
Brad played well in the second half, and were never really trouble, coping well with the visitors' long ball approach. the hard working Craig Darby nearly doubled the lead, but saw his lobbed effort go narrowly wide.
A good game played in the right spirit. A smiling Steve Jenkins said afterwards 'that was a real team effort, everyone played well.'
