COUNCILLORS were given an update on the progress of different projects at OCM Skatepark, at the January 15 meeting of Camelford Town Council.

Deputy mayor, Cllr Claire Hewlett, updated councillors on the work of the play areas working group and said there is now a bench at the skatepark, with the hope to add a second eventually.

She said street vendors will not be there until January 19 as they have had some vandalism to their vans.

However, she said their presence will ‘generate some income to the skatepark’.

Cllr Hewlett also mentioned the possibility of a new competition for the skatepark to be launched during Camelford Fun Week, to be held later this spring.
