THE new-look Buckfastleigh Town Council is planning to improve its links with the public through social media and reinstating monthly surgeries.

A council Facebook page – pictured right – is on line and the first surgery date is set for July 4, with mayor Cllr Ron Fox and deputy mayor Cllr Pam Barrett.

A draft proposal of communication methods was presented to June's full council meeting by a working group of councillors, which had previously met.
